That’s what I’m more concerned about for Autocross than anything. I don’t give a damn about looking like a fool within the course but I don’t wanna be THAT guy who doesn’t know where the hell I’m going.

Wow that is a fast and long course compared to what we get around here. Plus they seem to set ours up for smaller cars (Focus, Miata, and Fiestas) my SHO feels even more boat like than normal and the Monte is just jello (not for long) in the corners.

It’s too different to compare directly, and I don’t have enough experience in the Mustang yet to truly compare them. The Sonic definitely felt lighter and more nimble, and being smaller it’s easier to place relative to the cones. The Mustang noticeably has far more power, and the intricacies of driving RWD quickly show.

I don’t know that I would go so far as to say the Mustang is ‘better’. Is it faster? Absolutely. At least I’m pretty confident it is, I don’t know what my times would have been in the Sonic but I’m pretty sure it would have been slower. But the Sonic was damn fun for what it was, and maybe at this stage I’m still so new with the Mustang that it’s less fun and involves more concentration.

It’s not that hard to follow, and even if you do get lost so what. I DNF’d one run yesterday. It happens. Those of us who are experienced will notice someone missing more than one and go offer to either ride along with you, have you ride with someone else, or both.

To be honest, the Rally just looks a hell of a lot more fun to me. Sure as hell tougher on my car, but a lot more fun.

You won’t ever be ‘that guy’. Even the best drivers get lost sometimes. I completely missed a gate yesterday, it happens. We are all there to help each other, if you truly get lost you won’t get ridicule, you’ll get help to make sure you find your way.

FYI windows comes with a free video editor, Microsoft Movie Maker, and it is very easy to use to cut, splice and add annotations to video clips.
